Natural Detox Remedies That Can Help You Control Gas and Bloating

November 17, 2022

Everyone experiences bloating and gas every once in a while. However, if you experience these symptoms on a regular basis, it may be a sign that you have excess levels of toxins in your system. Gas and bloating can also be caused by certain foods and eating habits. If you are ready to feel better, there are a number of things, such as a cleanse for bloating and gas, that may help.

Avoid Foods That Cause Gas

Certain foods tend to cause gas and bloating because it is harder for the body to break them down properly. Some of them are not good for you and should be avoided as much as possible. However, others are healthy and should not be avoided completely, but at least limited.

Certain foods that may cause digestive issues and should be avoided include:

  • Processed foods
  • Gum that is made with artificial sugars or sugar alcohols
  • Sodas and other carbonated beverages

Some people have food sensitivities that result in gas and bloating. Common triggering foods include dairy and gluten. If you notice more digestive issues after consuming foods containing these, try to avoid them. If you are fine, keep eating them in moderation.

Although it may seem counterintuitive, there are many healthy foods that cause gas because of how they are broken down in the body. These should be limited or consumed on days when you do not mind a little extra gas:

  • Beans
  • Some vegetables, such as broccoli, asparagus, brussels sprouts, onion, cauliflower, and cabbage
  • Some fruits, such as pears, apples, prunes, peaches, mango, watermelon, oranges, and plums
  • Whole grains like wheat, barley, rye, and flaxseed

Use Herbal Detox to Ease the Discomfort

Another way to manage gas and bloating is to do an herbal detox cleanse. Although your body gets rid of toxins naturally, it is unable to keep up when the system is overloaded. A cleanse assists the body in the detox process. Check out the mega clean detox reviews to see how you can notice results the same day you do the cleanse. These herbal cleanses also do not require a lot of time and effort, but it does help to stay close to the bathroom, thanks to all the water you consume!

Change Eating Habits

When it comes to mealtime, food is not the only culprit when it comes to gas and bloating. Certain eating habits cause you to swallow excess air, which builds up in the digestive system. Eating too quickly and drinking beverages through a straw are two common causes of gas. So is chewing gum, sucking on dry candies, and smoking. If you know which habits trigger bloating, it is easier to change them.

Certain alcoholic beverages, such as sparkling wine and beer, contribute to digestive issues due to the carbonation. Consuming excess alcohol is also not good for your digestion over time. However, if you do drink too much, you can research the best detox after drinking to find a cleanse that will help ease unwanted symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, dehydration, and headaches.
